# Notifications

> Staying informed about activity across your organisation with real-time notifications.

## Notifications

NavNX notifies you about important events across your organisation, including new cases, team changes, and plan updates.

## Bell Icon

A **bell icon** is displayed in the top bar of every page. When you have unread notifications, a green badge shows the count.

* Click the bell icon to open the **Notifications** page.
* The badge updates in **real time** — you do not need to refresh the page to see new notifications.

## Notification Types

| Type                    | Description                                        |
| ----------------------- | -------------------------------------------------- |
| **Case created**        | A team member created a new surgical case.         |
| **Team member invited** | A new team member was invited to the organisation. |
| **Team member joined**  | An invited member accepted their invitation.       |

Additional notification types will be added as the platform evolves.

## Notifications Page

Navigate to **Notifications** in the sidebar to see all your notifications grouped by date.

Each notification shows:

* An icon indicating the notification type
* The notification title and description
* Time since the notification was created
* **Unread** notifications are highlighted with a green border and background

### Marking as Read

* **Click** a notification to mark it as read and navigate to the related page (e.g., the case detail).
* Click **Mark all read** at the top of the page to mark all notifications as read at once.

### Deleting Notifications

Hover over a notification to reveal the **delete icon**. Click it to permanently remove the notification.

## Toast Popups

When a new notification arrives while you are using NavNX, a **toast popup** slides in at the bottom-right corner of the screen.

* Toasts show the notification title and description.
* Click a toast to navigate to the related page.
* Toasts auto-dismiss after 5 seconds, or click the **X** to dismiss immediately.
* Up to 3 toasts are displayed at once.
