Instrument Catalogue

The instrument catalogue lists surgical instruments used alongside implants during orthopaedic procedures. Use it to review instrument specifications and visualise them in 3D.

Browsing Instruments

Navigate to Catalogues > Instruments from the sidebar. Instruments are displayed in a searchable grid, similar to the implant catalogue. Each instrument card shows:
  • Instrument name and manufacturer
  • Instrument type (e.g., Reamer, Guide Pin, Drill Bit, Inserter)
  • 3D thumbnail (if available)
  • Compatible implant references

Filtering

Use the filter controls to narrow results:
FilterOptions
ManufacturerAll supported manufacturers
TypeReamer, Guide Pin, Drill Bit, Tap, Inserter, Driver, Targeting Guide
ProcedureACL Reconstruction, MPFL Reconstruction, Rotator Cuff Repair, etc.
Filters can be combined. Clear individual filters by clicking the x tag, or click Clear All to reset.

3D Model Preview

Click an instrument card to open the detail view. If a 3D model is available, an interactive preview is displayed with orbit, zoom, and pan controls. The detail view shows:
  • Full instrument name and product code
  • Dimensions (length, diameter, working length)
  • Material
  • Compatible implants and procedures
Instrument models are included in the catalogue for reference and visualisation. They are not placed into the surgical plan like implants — they are informational only.
Use the search field at the top of the catalogue to find instruments by name, product code, or manufacturer. Results update as you type.
If you know the implant you plan to use, check the implant detail page for a list of compatible instruments — this is often faster than browsing the full instrument catalogue.
