MPR View
Multi-Planar Reconstruction (MPR) displays three orthogonal planes simultaneously, giving you a comprehensive view of the anatomy from all angles.Layout
MPR uses a 2x2 grid layout:| Position | Pane |
|---|---|
| Top-left | Axial — horizontal cross-section |
| Top-right | Sagittal — side view (left-right division) |
| Bottom-left | Coronal — front-back view |
| Bottom-right | Info — DICOM metadata and series information |
Slice Counters
Each pane displays its own slice counter in the bottom corner, showing the current slice number and total for that orientation (e.g.,Axial: 128/256).
Info Pane
The bottom-right pane displays DICOM metadata extracted from the imaging data:- Patient name and ID
- Study date and description
- Series description and modality (CT/MRI)
- Slice thickness and spacing
- Image dimensions and pixel spacing
- Institution name
The info pane is read-only and reflects the metadata embedded in the DICOM files. NavNX does not modify DICOM metadata.
Navigation
- Scroll wheel on any imaging pane scrolls through slices in that orientation
- Right-click drag adjusts window/level (applies to all three panes)
- Crosshair drag repositions the intersection point across all panes
Tools in MPR
All planning tools work in MPR view:- Measurement tools (length, angle) can be placed on any pane
- Tunnel entry/exit points can be defined on any plane
- Annotations are visible in the pane corresponding to their slice
