Implant Selection

NavNX includes a comprehensive implant catalogue spanning multiple manufacturers. During planning, you select the implant you intend to use, and NavNX displays a 3D model of it within the surgical plan.

Searching the Catalogue

1

Open the implant selector

Click the Implant button in the toolbar or press I. The implant selector panel opens on the right side.
2

Search or browse

Type in the search field to filter by implant name, manufacturer, or product code. Alternatively, browse by category (e.g., Interference Screws, Suture Anchors, Cortical Buttons).
3

Select the implant

Click an implant from the results list. A summary card shows the implant dimensions, material, and available sizes.
4

Choose the size

Select the appropriate size from the available options (e.g., 7 x 25 mm, 8 x 30 mm).
5

Place the implant

Click Add to Plan. The view automatically switches to 3D mode, and the implant model is loaded at the tunnel position.

3D Model Preview

When you select an implant, a 3D preview of the .glb model is displayed in the selector panel. You can orbit the preview to inspect the implant geometry before adding it to your plan.
Implant 3D models are representative approximations for planning purposes. They are not exact replicas of manufactured products.

Automatic View Switch

When an implant is placed, the planner automatically switches to the 3D or Bone view so you can see the implant in context with the bony anatomy and tunnels.

Changing or Removing an Implant

  • To change the implant, open the implant selector and choose a different one. The previous selection is replaced.
  • To remove the implant, select it in the 3D view and press Delete, or click Remove in the properties panel.

Preferred Brands

If you have configured preferred brands in Preferences, those manufacturers appear at the top of the search results for faster access.
Set your preferred brands in Settings to streamline implant selection. You can still access all manufacturers — preferred brands are simply prioritised in search results.
